Foodie Friday | PB & J Breakfast Tacos Recipe

Happy 4th of July! Today’s recipe is somewhat patriotic looking with the red & blue berries and if you add some coconut flakes we’ve got the entire US of A  color scheme accounted for. The other day I had nothing in the fridge and didn’t think this week was worth grocery shopping since I’d being going home for the holiday. I woke up starving for breakfast and wanted to eat rather than drink my smoothie so I took my smoothie ingredients and made these tacos instead. This is so simple, refreshing, and light. It requires no equipment and very few ingredients.

Ingredients:
-Romain Leaves or Collard Greens 
-Berries (organic frozen of fresh) 
-Nut Butter of Choice (May Favorites are Pumpkin Seed or Hemp Seed) 
-Optional Add-ins: coconut flakes, sea salt, cinnamon etc.

Today’s bonus video is all about tea. As I said in the video, tea is like a hug in a cup and there’s nothing like a warm beverage to warm you up from the inside out. 1.  Strawberry Cuppa Chocolate Tea awesome with a splash of homemade coconut milk and a drop of stevia. Caffeine-free & tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry!

2. Numi Savory Tea– tastes kind like broth & very different than most teas, but I love it! Comes in Tomato Basil as well!

3. Tulsi Tea Sweet Rose– I love the taste of this tea but the health benefits are even better. Tulsi Tea is stress relieving because Tulsi is the herb Holy Basil which lowers stress in the body. The tagline on the box says it all, “stress relieving & magical.”

4. Yogi Tea– the fortune cookie of teas. Quotes on every tea bag and tons of amazing flavors. What’s your fav?

5. Aveda Tea– super sweet, caffeine-free, and good for digestion. Great to have after dinner or anytime a day.

It’s that time of year. There’s lots of icky stuff going around, so heal or protect yourself whatever the case may be with this powerful yet healing tonic. This drink is super simple and will heal the flu or prevent you from getting it altogether! Or just have it everyday to warm up!

Also, something I’ve been doing to really boost my immunity and promote both liver and skin health is working in MSM (great for joint health as well as skin health, pull heavy metals out) and Camu Camu (super duper high in vitamin C which is amazing for skin health) everyday. Since they don’t taste the best I like to just take them as a shot, and I’ve been adding them to my liver cleansing shot of lemon and olive oil. I instagrammed it this week and people loved it. Here’s what you do:

-1/4 tsp MSM

-1/2 tsp camu camu

-1 tbsp olive oil

– half a lemon

-1 tbsp water
