I have been focusing more on in person community lately. I love every moment I spend in WW-land online connecting with the amazing community we’ve got going on here, however connecting with people in person takes things to an entirely differently and totally elevated level.
This weekend you may have seen on insta that I was in Canada visiting friends, Natalie MacNeil & Ange & Gill of the Holistic Health Diary. While I’d been friends with these awesome peeps online for a while now, spending time with them in person really cemented our friendships. What’s cool about the internet is that it not only connects us but it allows us to know each other more deeply and quickly than ever before. When I met them for the first time in person this weekend, we could quickly go deep into our friendship because we already felt like we knew each other. We already knew our authentic stories, our passions, our work, and our goals just from following each other’s podcasts, videos, and social media. You can get a pretty good idea of what someone is like if you follow them for long enough and they are authentic when they share. This is all well and good but connecting in person really cements things and allows the friendship to feel real in a way virtual reality cannot.
So with that, come meet me! I’ve decided to focus on in-person events as much as online events in the upcoming year.
So starting this Sunday come hang out with me at The Dailey Method in Birmingham where I’m giving a talk on How to Stay Happy During the Holidays.
I will be giving many more talks in the upcoming weeks so if you’re local to me in the Detroit area stay tuned! Here’s another talk I’ll be giving at the Detroit Goddess on The Go Event!
Here’s the link to sign up for that with my discount. Please use the code Katie which will give your women $15 off the $79 ticket.
Have an amazing weekend. Hope to see many of you Sunday!
PS. Another great opportunity to see me do my thing live is my yoga class every Sunday morning at 10:00 am at my yoga studio Red Lotus Yoga. I’d love to see you there. We have a great crew that comes each week to move, breathe, stretch, sweat, and even occasionally dance and sing.
