This week on the podcast I’m interviewing someone I’ve been following for over five years and have watched him grow the biggest wellness media outlet on the internet. Jason Wachob founder of Mind Body Green and author of the new book WELLth is on the podcast talking about the building blocks of true “Wellth” which he explores in his new book which is part memoir, part prescriptive advice, and completely amazing. I admit this to Jason on the podcast but when I say he had a new book out I really didn’t know what to expect. I thought, if it was just going to be another health book telling me to get more rest, move more, and eat more greens I wouldn’t really have the time for it, however this book was so much more than that. I genuinely loved learning more about Jason’s personal story but also truly valuable life lessons on everything from love, to career, to spirituality. The chapter titles alone will give you an idea of what I mean:: Eat. Move. Work. Believe. Explore. Breathe. Connect. Love. Heal. Thank. Ground. Live. Laugh. The book itself is structured out in a way that makes it a quick read and encourages us to make frequent deposits into our own “wellth” accounts. I loved the book and can’t recommend it enough, but that’s not all we talk about in this episode. Jason and I dive into how he cured his back pain with yoga, the early days of starting Mind Body Green, what it was like being a college basketball player in the 90s, and even his interesting perspective on soul mates. This was one of my favorite interviews I’ve done in a while and I’m super excited to share it. Let us know what you think or if you have any questions in the comments below.
