the most UNDERRATED free self care routine

  • Do you experience intrusive thoughts?

  • Do you feel bombarded with thoughts running through your mind?

  • Do you ever feel lonely or disconnected?

I’m unsure how I’m feeling until I start writing. It allows me to see who I am in the moment, not the watered-down version I show the world.

It’s easy to get swept up in distractions, making us unaware of how we’re feeling emotionally. This lack of self-awareness can make it difficult to connect with others, think creatively, or grow.

We think we want to be more connected but I believe the intimacy we seek in relationships is a lack of connection within ourselves.

If we want to change, I believe self-awareness has to be the first step.

about me:

I often feel flustered, scattered, overwhelmed, anxious, and indecisive - journaling slows me down, makes me aware of what I’m feeling and empowers me to pivot as needed.

In 2016, I published a book, an interactive guide to journaling called LET IT OUT. Since then, I’ve led live writing workshops and retreats everywhere from the Wanderlust Festivals to Soho House.

It’s simple, free, and can be done anywhere or anytime.

The workshops starts with the prompts I use daily in my writing practice, plus four days of themed sessions. It gently guides you to discover the answers within you and supports you to let them out. It helps you organize your thoughts, giving you a deeper self-awareness that you can take with you into other modalities and relationships.

It's completely free - just enter your email and we'll send it to you dosed out day-by-day.

Day 1 - FOUNDATIONAL DAILY PROMPTS

This workshop is for both new and daily journalers. I give my 8 tips for starting a consistent writing practice, as well as the prompts I use daily, the ones I constantly return to, and FAQ for creating a nourishing writing practice unique to you.

Day 2- INTIMACY

Guides you through using journaling to reflect where you hide in relationships, creatively, and with yourself. We all wear emotional masks to protect ourselves, so this journaling workshop guides us to reflect on how we’re hiding our authentic selves. Journaling allows you to be vulnerable with yourself so you can do so with others, creating intimacy.

Day 3- CHANGE & GRIEF

Whether you’re in the midst of day-to-day shifts, navigating the newness caused by the global pandemic, or making a big shift like moving homes, jobs, relationships--there’s both discomfort and excitement that comes with newness. Even when change is positive, there is often grief in having to leave behind the old. This collection of prompts guides you through navigating the uncertainty of change and learning while in process.

Day 4- EVOLUTION & CREATIVITY

Guides you through examining all you’ve learned from the changes you’ve navigated to gain clarity on where to go next. These prompts help us towards the ideal version of yourself, both creatively and personally. We focus on figuring out what is blocking us creatively and how we can pivot as needed to evolve into our most authentic version of ourselves. .

I hope it’s as useful for you as it’s been for me.
